Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Pim, the operator of TUD. By using TUD, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use TUD. Questions can be sent to info@tudapp.com.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use TUD. If the law where you live requires a parent or guardian to consent to your use of online services, you may use TUD only with that consent.
The TUD service
TUD is a language learning app that provides voice-first roleplay missions, city maps, XP progression, AI conversation, mission review, subscriptions, rewarded ads, optional streak reminders, app update prompts, and related features.
TUD is designed for practice and confidence building. We do not guarantee fluency, test results, employment outcomes, travel outcomes, or any specific learning result.
Accounts and security
- You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login method secure.
- Guest accounts may have limited persistence and may not restore all progress if you delete the app, clear local data, or change devices.
- You must not share, sell, transfer, or misuse another person's account.
AI conversations and learning content
TUD uses AI systems to generate language practice, voice replies, hints, mission reviews, translations, and related learning content. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, or inappropriate.
You should not rely on TUD for legal, medical, financial, immigration, safety, or emergency advice. TUD is not a substitute for a teacher, professional advisor, or emergency service.
Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit to TUD, such as speech, text, feedback, screenshots, and images.
You give TUD a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, transmit, process, display, analyze, and otherwise use your content as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit any content you provide to TUD.
Acceptable use
- Do not use TUD to harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, or harm others.
- Do not submit illegal, abusive, hateful, sexually exploitative, or rights-infringing content.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, overload, scrape, bypass limits, attack, or disrupt TUD or its providers.
- Do not use TUD to generate malware, fraud, spam, deception, or instructions for wrongdoing.
- Do not use TUD in a way that violates applicable law, third-party rights, app-store rules, or AI provider policies.
TUD Plus, purchases, and cancellation
TUD may offer paid subscriptions such as TUD Plus. Subscription prices, trial periods, renewal timing, included features, and cancellation details are shown in the app and through Google Play before purchase.
Purchases made through Google Play are billed and managed by Google Play. To cancel, manage, or request refunds for a Google Play subscription, use your Google Play account subscription settings. Deleting your TUD account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel a subscription.
If a subscription expires, is canceled, refunded, revoked, or cannot be verified, TUD Plus features may end or become unavailable.
Ads and speaking time
TUD may provide free usage limits, rewarded ads, or speaking-time bonuses. These benefits are not cash, have no monetary value, are not transferable, and may change or expire.
Rewarded ads depend on third-party ad availability and completion signals. We are not responsible if an ad is unavailable, interrupted, or not credited because completion cannot be verified.
Changes, suspension, and termination
We may change, pause, discontinue, limit, or remove parts of TUD at any time, including missions, AI models, maps, rewards, subscription benefits, and availability in particular regions.
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for other users, abused the service, or used TUD unlawfully.
Third-party services
TUD depends on third-party services such as Google Firebase, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Cloud/Vertex AI/Gemini, Google Play, RevenueCat, and Google AdMob. Their own terms, policies, and availability may also apply.
Disclaimers
TUD is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, TUD and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost learning progress, service interruption, or AI output errors.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid to TUD for the service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the claim, or the minimum amount allowed by law, whichever is greater.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Netherlands, except where local consumer law gives you mandatory rights that cannot be waived.
